Good value for money, especially for thin pads. Eheim breaks down over time so you can use a non-brand replacement. The hard sponges are similar to the standard Eheim sponges and seem to last forever too. They smell a little as soon as they are taken out of the packaging (on the label "Made in China"), but after rinsing they are fine. I installed my stack with ceramic rings --> old + new coarse sponges --> old + new fine pads --> backing pad --> new fine pad. It turned out that one of the coarse sponges didn't fit/need me.
