Review on Ultimate Noise Isolating Earplugs: Plugfones Guardian Plus - Enhanced Audio, 26 dB NRR, Mic & Controls by Juan Patel

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Efficient and affordable.

I usually hate in-ear headphones - they never stay in my ears and are uncomfortable - but about a year ago I discovered the Koss Plugs with memory foam ear cushions and I succeeded , not falling out a result. I liked them but the sound quality wasn't very good and over time they physically wore out and had to be replaced. I looked around and found these that are a bit more expensive than plugs but have good reviews and have a few features that plugs don't: The plug cable isn't angled so it fits snugly in my iPhone case, it's a built-in one in volume and pause controls and also a microphone (which I've never actually used so can't comment on quality) and they work like real earbuds with a significant reduction in ambient noise. I spend about an hour every day listening to music on the bus; Buses aren't considered the quietest places, and when I put these headphones on, even when there's no music playing, it makes my surroundings noticeably quieter and much more comfortable, and as headphones they sound pretty good, with more bass than I have. what to expect from small riders. Extra points for unexpected durability: I accidentally washed these headphones once and they still sound good. My only complaint about them is that apart from the mic, there's no explicit left/right indicator, so I actually swapped out my left plug for a different-colored spare. You can tell exactly which side is which by the embossed markings on the driver, but it's difficult in low light.
