Review on Acer A515 56 36UT Display I3 1115G4 Processor by Robert Aan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

big but fast and quiet, great value for money

for my purposes like excel, word, surfing, social media, blogging, light photo editing and other non intensive activities (not gaming), this laptop is great . It's fast, from 0 to 60 in 10 seconds (the fingerprint reader helps, it doesn't use a password). calm; It replaces the old Dell Inspiron 15, which has become a constantly whirring fan and hard drive, making the Acer almost eerily quiet. I've done my due diligence, and the big bang from the CPU, graphics, FHD, RAM, SSD, Wi-Fi 6, KB backlight, and FPR outshines anything out there (there's an Asus vivobook that compares a bit more and that was last competitor in the race). Who knows what the build quality will bring me over the years, but if it's halfway decent it shouldn't become obsolete in just a few years. My only complaint right now is the slightly crooked "Full HD 1080" sticker on the bottom left of the screen, but I'm a former QC guy whose eye was ruined by too many careful checks. but if anything else seems wrong (knock on wood) I'll edit this review. UPDATE 9/27/21 So I've spotted a quirk that might be a problem if it allows it. If the device is in sleep mode when plugged in (charging), the fan turns on and appears to stay on while charging. I didn't check what time it is. And I'm not sure how hot the block actually is. Laptop shuts down and charges normally. It's also fine when it's on and being used while charging (actually, for my specific purposes, the fan never turns on, except when it first spins up after turning it off). But if the device is connected to the network during use, for example, and I just close the lid and put the device to sleep, the fan turns on. I don't mind. I still give five stars. I could adapt. But I found it worth mentioning.
