Quality cable nightmare for 2g DSM

Quality product. The non-cruising 2G DSM throttle cable is no longer available. So you're either paying $100 for a used cable (if you can find one) or upgrading to a 1g cable. I tried to "bend" it like everyone else, but bending it nearly 45* as required for 2g resulted in a buckle. So. I heated and melted a ball of lead on a standard wire, pinched the ferrule on that wire since it's made of some sort of steel, and removed it. Then I carefully swapped the ends that connect to the firewall. There is so much more to what I have done than I am explaining. I also had to significantly modify the bracket that connects to the back of the intake manifold as the throttle body was dangling (too short) in the open position. It works great but I do not recommend this cable to anyone looking to remove 2G cruise control. 5 stars because I used it completely for other purposes. Although the cable is good. I would suggest a good buy for 1g as the price is great. Don't use this for 2g though. This is too much work and can be very dangerous. I'm a manufacturer and will likely replace the cable when I find the correct OEM cable. You might think that you can gradually bend it over the full span of the arch. I want someone to be successful, but I'm 99% sure it's impossible without breaking the pipe. I tried for over an hour with a vise and three pairs of vises. 2d = no. I've heard of people running 1g to 2gs cables in different ways and getting them to work. But I don't know anything about it. I think you should search the DSM forums. Again, don't think you're going to bend IT.
