This is the second "digital microscope" I've ordered from Revain. The first seller claimed it was a 2-megapixel camera, but it was actually a 0.3-megapixel camera. Claims to be a 2MP camera but according to the Camera app for Windows 10 it's actually 3.7MP! All parts of the focus arm, camera clamp and base are metal and very well made. I knew there would never be the 1000x magnification that requires an oil immersion lens and direct contact with the sample. It's probably closer to 100x, which is fine. With the arm usable as a focus, you can actually have variable zoom, making this a great classroom display. I haven't tried connecting it to a mobile phone, but it has an adapter for micro USB and USB-C. I would highly recommend buying it, especially at a price close to a third of the listed competitors!
