This module works well in my audio reactive project and the build quality is good. To decrease the gain, turn the potentiometer clockwise instead of counterclockwise. Four of the four modules worked without problems. The design of this and similar modules is better than the corresponding Adafruit brand module because the Adafruit design has two 10uF capacitors that filter the input power. This can be important when the power supply is noisy, as the input bias applied to the 4466 is obtained directly from the power supply using a voltage divider. More power noise appears at the input of the microcircuit without adding capacitors.
