I tried these gloves for walking my dog and for driving with a cold steering wheel. The gloves are made of very nice material. They fit my hands but I don't know if a large person could wear them. The battery "pocket" is just below the palm on the underside of your hand. The battery pack is a little clumsy. Depending on what you are doing they would be in the way of mobility. The heat is dispensed along the top of your hand-not the palm. They had 3 settings and really warmed up fast. Depending on what you are doing these would work well.
