The only anchor included is a tiny metal anchor. Initially I secured it with 3 6 inch staples. However, the wind pulled them out of the frozen snow. So I wrapped a rope around the support wires at the bottom of the snowman, tied it to a brick, and covered the brick with snow. He survived the next storm.
