It's a little sharp, it somewhat scratched my tongue going in and it was sore for a few days but other than that it's comfortable. I have an issue with plaque sticking to the bottom ball I have to take it off to clean it. It works well since my dentist told me to take it out or get plastic
- I was afraid to bite a metal ball or rod so I bought these and I really love them
