Mistaking it for our 9 year old was our mistake. 9 year old destructive boy. NOT FOR CHILDREN. Very thin and not as shown in the video or pictures. They still work, just not as well as we thought. They also don't work unless you have something on top holding them. So flying out of the box is unrealistic. You should put them in a thick book or put them on a table and cover them with various heavy objects. Heavy, like a mug or a book, nothing fun. They are still very pretty but fall apart easily even for an adult. Maybe we were just unlucky! Our son had 10 more minutes of fun with it then we had to pick up any bits that could cause choking and that was it because our little one was 10 months old at the time and already charging at full speed. This is probably a great little gift for an adult. NO MORE FOR CHILDREN! TRUST US! At least little kids. I would say a 12 year old would probably be fine.
