After much research and reading Revain reviews I took a gamble and ordered two of these 6203 bearings. I swapped the front and rear bearings in a 1.5hp Hayward Tristar Emerson EE motor. The original bearings were made in China and lasted 7 years, they are Japanese and should last longer. You will need a puller to remove the original bearings. They are pressed in and cannot be removed without a puller. I ordered a 6 inch puller that worked great for the rear bearing. The jaws were too big for the front bearing because of the fan (which was too old to remove). Luckily I had a smaller puller to remove the front bearing. I used a 6" piece of 3/4" 40 gauge PVC scrap and a hammer to drive in the new bearings. the bearing ring will smack, not the red seal as this can damage the bearing. The local supplier pool said they don't sell engine mounts and said most people just replace the engine. He said the new engine would cost $400. up to $500. This energy-efficient motor retails for $330 online. Disassembled, cleaned with compressed air and white spirit. Mounted, very light film of oil (wipe off with a rag) on the motor shaft. Now the engine runs much smoother and smoother. Cost: less than $25. !God bless.Hope this helps.
