it is clear and smokeless, however, it smells like frying oil when it is burning. this could also be due to the fact that I have just quit smoking and I can taste and smell like wolverine for the time being. other than that it served its purpose with no issues. a full tank on my lantern lasted 24 hours straight and the flame was a little high.

I did not realize this burns very fast overall. I wanted something safe for indoors but this goes way to fast. I wonder if a certain wick is recommended for this. There is cotton and fiberglass and it is not really clear which is best.

This is the second time we have ordered this lamp oil, the first time I gave it five stars, this time only four. The reduction has nothing to do with the quality of the product, it really works well and as described. The one star reduction has to do with our second bottle not being filled all the way (our first bottle was). I would say the second bottle was about 8 ounces less full than our first bottle. Honestly, better off using basic kerosene in your lamps. However the upside of this oil is how well it burns. It burns smooth, gives off good light and doesn’t smoke or leave any smell. Fantastic for indoor use and nothing else, really.

not a good purchase. i bought it because the price was fair but it’s not worth it. there was black sut coming out of the oil lamp. it made my ceiling black. and the pictures behind the lamp got sut on them. also there is a awful smell when you light the oil lamp as well as an awful sent when you blow them out. i had oil lamps in my room with this oil, and the smell and mustiness made we want to suffocate. not a good purchase

The fact that it is unscented and not colored means it burns much cleaner and lasts a bit longer. Very happy with the product.

I have two oil lamps my mother brought back from Mexico many years ago. All that's ever been ran in them was kerosene. I ordered this oil and some new wicks. Cleaned the lamp up, added the oil, and re-wicked the lamps. All I can say is wow! This oil burns clean. I will definitely buy again. I love these old lamps and really love that I've got them back up and going. Brings back so many childhood memories.
