Perfect for inside flat wick lanterns. No smell except for very mild candle smell and whiter light than kerosene or kerosene substitute, which we do not use inside. We use these oils in designated lanterns outside on the front porch or screen porch Finally, this ha product that does not cause our eyes or sinuses to burn.If you start to use this product for inside, make sure you pour the existing oil from your lamp or lantern back into the bottle you got it from, and then replace the wick in your lamp or lantern with a new one waiting at lease 30 minutes for the new wick to soak up the new oil. Learn to trim your wicks properly with the shape you want your flame to be, go to youtube and find out how. And do not mix this with other oils. Some sites say not to use with wicks larger than 1/2 inch, but we have had great success in 1/4 to 7/8 inch. Its your choice to learn how and enjoy your lanterns.
