Review on Hyoola 1 Gallon Ultra Clean Burning Liquid Paraffin Lamp Oil: Indoor & Outdoor Use, Clear, Smokeless, Odorless by Davey Kamau

Better than kerosene but more expensive and burns faster

I use hurricane lamps every night. I leave on like a night light. Yes I have electricity but I prefer the warm glow of lamp oil.I generally use kerosene in my lamps. It smells and it is a bit sooty. I don’t mind. I tried this paraffin oil for the first time this week.Paraffin oil is essentially odorless and completely smokeless and sootless. I really like that. It costs twice as much as korosene and burns twice as fast. I don’t like that. For most people who rarely use their oil lamps I would use this. If you are like me then it’s more of a choice. For emergency lighting for an extended time I would use kerosene because it take less storage space. I keep about 20 gallons on hand. But for most people this lamp oil is the right choice. There is another buying option on amazon to get 4 gallons. If you want to keep it for emergency outages that might last weeks I would recommend getting it in bulk. To me lamps and oil are a way of life. So that’s my take.
