Review on Men's Razor Blade Sharpener - RazorPit, Black: Enhance Razor Blade Longevity by Krista Johnson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I can't say that I returned the money for the purchase, but I have a sharp blade much more often than a dull one.

I bought this rubber block to use with the Gillette Mach 3. I was tired of constantly changing expensive blades. My position today is based solely on my unconfirmed experience with the device, but that is my experience. I would say I get 2-3 times more benefit from the blade if I consistently wipe it down after each use. The blue reassurance line is usually my go-to when it's time to replace a blade. With this rubber block, that blue line disappears before I decide to replace the blade. I only shave in the shower. I keep this block next to the base of the razor above the shower tile. When I shave, I put a little shaving cream on the wand, then on my fingers and apply it to my face. I will heat the razor under running water and shave. After that I rinse it out and then run it backwards over black 4-5 times. I rinse it off again and blow dry it back and then front before putting it back on the stand. I always blow dry. My blades will never rust. Then I wash the block and put it back on the tile. That being said, my blades tend to last noticeably longer than without the rubber block. Make no mistake, this rubber block isn't magic. It just cleans the blade of crap that would otherwise get stuck there and cause pitting on the blade. This is what bores him much sooner than he should be. Is it worth $18 (today's price?) Maybe or maybe not. I paid €25 for it when I bought it. I can't say that I returned the money for the purchase, but I have a sharp blade much more often than a dull one.
