I didn't know what to expect based on some reviews but I get good quality drill bits in well packed boxes. I believe some of these bad reviews were written by people trying to use these bits manually. These bits are NOT intended for manual use. They are too small and the carbide is very brittle. No one has a hand strong enough not to strain it enough to break it. They are designed for use in CNC machines. You can also use them in a miniature drill press, but even that is risky with bits this small, as they're still easily overloaded and broken. Additionally, when drilling through plastic, it can easily overheat and melt, causing it to break as well. You don't need carbide for plastic or most things for that material. If you want to drill by hand and it's not a hard material, use steel drill bits. They can bend in use and are much more forgiving when hand drilled. But there is still a limit to how small a bit can be used manually. I've used a few sizes on a few PCBs now and they feed and cut cleanly leaving nice burr free holes when used with my 3018 machine. . My only complaint would be that the sizes aren't marked on the collars and they aren't all the same length as the collars so you can change the size without having to reset the Z axis again. Other than that I'm very happy with them and they should hold me some PCB's and anything I can think of.
