The bento box is well made, but there are design flaws. There is no cover separating the bottom compartment from the top compartment, only the top compartment itself. So if the bin is tilted or turned upside down, the bottom of the top bin will be contaminated. This means you can't lower the top container until you've exposed the bottom of the container, which doesn't stay vertical (if you notice). The 2nd problem, since there is no lid for the bottom container, you can't take it alone. Third, you can't reheat the bottom container unless you take the food out of the metal container and place it in the blue plastic that's holding it, or in another plate or bowl. And of course, after reheating food, you should wash the blue box before putting the metal box back in. The 4th issue is related to the 2nd, you can only secure the bento if you use all the devices together as the locking mechanism requires a metal shell with a blue rubber mount. Not sure if I'll keep it (unfortunately I bought 2). The goal is to get lunch to work instead of spending time cleaning every compartment twice.
