I'm a sweaty guy. I usually go beyond simple sports headbands, and the cotton hats I've used for running harden over time due to mineral buildup. Even with this hat I can cook more than I need but remember this is a thin hat it will keep you cool and dry which it does. Extreme training is required when I overload the hat, and it does a good job of directing the excess away from my face. I'm sure there are thicker and heavier hats out there that could also handle extreme workouts but then it would be hotter and to be honest it's not what I need - this hat is perfect for my needs. My head size is just over a 7 and 1/4 and the hat fits very comfortably, can be worn at slightly different angles to protect eyes from the sun (and stays there. I don't struggle with it all the time like some hats do). who want to slide into certain positions) and works great on my runs. I also like that I can dip it in soapy water, rinse and let it dry so I don't get mineral build up and the cap keeps its shape, no problem.
