Review on C2G 03364 2-Port VGA (HD15) Switch Box with Manual Control, Beige by Nick Nunez

Yesterday I bought and received the second one. The plan is to connect 2 of these together so I can use 2 computers with 2 monitors. To be clear, I will not be using 2 monitors at the same time. I need to be able to use: Computer A with Monitor AComputer A with Monitor BComputer B with Monitor AComputer B with Monitor BSo 4 different configurations. As soon as I get a second computer I will come back and update the review. This setup should work as these switches are the main mechanical components. The build quality is excellent EXCEPT for the HANDLES. The blocks are metal with good solid switches and good rubber feet. Update: My setup with 2 computers and 2 monitors works fine BUT it can crash the monitor driver when trying to switch to both computers. So far so good as long as the switchover occurs after the computers are off. The problem is not with these units that work well. My setup is not standardized. Update: April 23, 2015 - The plastic grips do NOT have metal inserts with set screws and one of my grips just broke with normal use. These handles in these devices are all made of plastic. I need to replace them with better grips with brass holes. They are available on eBay. Search : SENCORE EICO B&K HICKOK MERCURY TUBE TESTER ELECTRONIC DEVICE HANDLE LOTS OF 4. You don't need 4 but these are EXACTLY the same knobs With brass inserts and set screws. Decent price too.
