Need modification for small bulbs but still usable.

I like this light set. Requires a mod for Small Lanterns, but can still be used on them. Inside is a lever that allows you to roll up the wire to adjust the length of the pendant. That arm is the only reason it doesn't fit the Small Can. If you have a large flashlight, it will fit without modification. If like me you have a small flashlight you can still use it, all you have to do is saw off this lever and shorten the wire to the length you want before screwing it into the mount. This involves taking out 2 small screws and cutting the wire. You will need to strip the sheathing from the wires at the end where you cut them and then have 2 small wire nuts on hand to replace the existing ones. They used crimp nuts which are difficult to remove but doable but won't revert to new wires. You will need 2 small wire nuts for this. Once you have cut the lever and shortened the wires to the correct length you can simply screw it back together using the 2 screws you removed earlier. Then it's a straight shot into a small lamp socket, and the viola now fits into a smaller glass space. I did that and it worked great. I like it. Incidentally, in the past I have torn the lamps out of the glasses and replaced them with pendant lights. THIS IS A NIGHTMARE, and while they're terribly expensive for what you get (not even a globe - right?), it's still a lot better than taking the job. Cheaper because you still have to patch that huge can hole and put in a new box for a regular light because the cans don't use them. Too much hassle if that option is there. Hate the price, LOVE the fit. Kudos to the designers, but maybe let the adjustment arm unscrew and use wire nuts that also screw on and off so people can just cut the wires to length and use them in a mount they have. It's actually not that hard and if you provide some sketches/instructions anyone with an Exacto knife can do it.
