Amazing iPad accessory

If anyone is wondering if this will work with an iPad (with a USB-C connector), my answer for the iPad Pro is yes! I recently bought a Nektar SE49 MIDI keyboard to take basic piano lessons. I first set it up on my MacBook Pro and it worked fine with GarageBand and the speakers set up with that laptop, but that meant the MIDI keyboard was competing with my workspace. It occurred to me that I could run a MIDI keyboard through the iPad's GarageBand app if I just got the right adapters. Since the iPad doesn't have a 3.5" audio jack, I bought a Dukabel USB to 3.5" adapter. I already had a quad-port USB expander with a standard USB connector, so I had to use an Apple USB to USB-C adapter (cheaper imitations didn't work) to connect it to the iPad (see attached photo). Then plug the USB cable that came with the Nektar SE49 MIDI keyboard into the 4-port expander and connect the Dukabel adapter to the 4-port expander. I plugged my Sony headphones into the Dukabel adapter's 3.5" jack and the sound was amazing, much better than just playing through the iPad's speakers (I believe the Dukabel adapter has an audio enhancement chip built in ). Anyway, this Dukabel adapter does MUCH more than I thought it would! And I'm also impressed that my old 4-port USB expander handled it all. Power consumption on my iPad is minimal, which benefits both Apple and Nektar. To think that I now have an amazing piano practice device that costs so little and sounds so good! And this setup can do a lot more than a piano if you're into MIDI and GarageBand! Glory to Dukabel! Tip: In order for GarageBand to output sound after activating the app and plugging everything in, I have to switch the keyboard from the default keyboard (the piano in my case) to another instrument and then back to the piano, then it sounds flawless!
