It appears that most of the serving utensils for sale are either bundled with your flatware (so you'll have to buy more flatware to get an extra set or a spare) or specially designed . for use at a banquet and have the appropriate dimensions. This is a good intermediate position with an overall length of 8.5 inches and a wide bucket area that allows for easier paddling. I don't think I would recommend them for scooping hard ice as the face of the scoop is larger and rounder than most spoons and the handles are not designed to take heavy use and are likely to bend or flex, but are for scooping cooked vegetables , rice etc. .d. they fit perfectly.
