This remote control is awesome! I have an old model Samsung HDTV, probably 8 years old, and it worked right away! EXCITED. With my particular TV, there is a slight two to three second delay after turning it on before the TV beeps that it's on. I'm sure it maybe depends on the model and I don't see that as a disadvantage. I mention this because I thought something wasn't working (like my new batteries) when it didn't fire right away. Anyone else can come here and say that the remote control was broken upon receipt. (Reviews are always subjective and only part of the story) Looks like what you get from the retailer, it doesn't look or feel like a cheap replacement in my opinion. I read some reviews about overheating and I'm glad I ignored them. "Consider source" because if I don't use one. wrong battery type or bad batteries or misuse, my remote is cold all the time, it never even remotely feels warm to the touch. Do you also think about where a person buys, Revane? or another seller come here to complain or report problems. In my opinion these problems belong to this seller's website or the manufacturer's website. Revain has one of the BEST RETURNS policies, if you don't like a purchase or something doesn't work, send it back, you'll get your credit shortly after your UPS driver has left the drive, pretty close. Anyone who complains about being stuck with something or not being able to return something has either kept it for more than 30 days or didn't buy it from Revain.
