I'm happy I decided on a Nalgene. After finding out I couldn't buy an American made steel bottle anywhere, and after seeing Nalgene made a glow in the dark bottle, I bought it. The plastic is thick and hard, the attached cap screws on easily, and it is light weight. I see why these have been a classic choice for so many for so long. And the fact it is made in USA and has from what I read an excellent warranty are icing on the cake. Just a tip, many color options are available on their website for about $10 with free shipping. The glow Green version was not so I bought it here. Otherwise, I would have opted to buy directly from the company to be assured of authenticity and fresh stock. I hope they restock the glow Green because I plan to use them for storing other goods in addition to water, and the glow may be useful in a dark camping or survival situation.
