I never thought I would love one of these so much. I've been looking at them for years, to be honest, but I keep coming across mail order that needs assembly. It wasn't. It's heavy and bulky and you need to assemble it slowly, but it's durable. And I mean Solid Solid. Not cheap in every sense of the word and it was easier to build than small things. Fittings opened without any problems, everything came together like perfect pieces of a puzzle. Same size as the wire cage we had, but it looks nicer and will stand up to anyone who piles their crap on it. Dogs love it too. They go there more often, and sometimes they don't even want to leave. Don't worry about them opening it up and rest assured it's much more comfortable than the wire beds, although we had a bed and wire duvet which we moved into this one along with the pillow provided. We have 2 medium sized dogs. A cross between a Beagle and a Staffy, they're short and they're tall and they're stout, but the two go together easily. I measured them before ordering lol they measure the same - 29" long x 18" tall. Crucial was the fact that they would both be comfortable on the rare occasions when they needed to be restrained (jumping off the ski jump excitedly and hyperactively).
