They have proven to be of very good quality, but they are not airtight! They may be suitable for pressure, but when used on the suction side of the pump they allow air to be sucked in. I finally got my stove set up and did a test run with hot water and a system cleaner. Whether I was siphoning water from the HLT or circulating the wort between the HLT and the mash tun, I was running a thermocoil in the HLT, there was a constant flow of air bubbles, water was being pumped into the mash tun. . That tells me the pump is sucking air and the only possible places are the quick disconnects. At this point I have to ditch the quick disconnects and install barbs in the tanks which remove the air but also make the system much more difficult to disconnect, clean and store. Absolute waste of money!
