Many reviews mention wrinkles. Linen crumpled and strong. Do you remember linen blouses? You were in a mess before you left the house! BUT linen is exceptionally breathable and becomes superbly soft after washing. It's not a $400 linen blanket, but it will do. The color is gray but with a brownish undertone. Very common with color to have different shades. Be sure to bring a bill that matches the color. Corner ties are flimsy and too short, but this is an easy fix. I sewed buttonholes on the quilt and insets that they don't have. Use them to move your duvet. I'd like to see a fabric flap so the quilt isn't showing, but it's long enough that this isn't a problem. The buttons look good. The covers fit my bulky wool pillows, but some normal pillowcases do not. In hot summer weather (So Cal) I use a light Outlast wool duvet in the comforter and a percale sheet. Ideal! In winter I wear light down and tight-fitting flannel. I don't use top sheets and this duvet cover feels good against the skin. Ultimately I am very happy with the duvet set for the price.
