The ability to create my own badge designs in addition to selecting from pre-existing ones was extremely helpful! I had little experience creating custom graphic elements prior to using this platform so it took me some time to get used to how everything worked but once i did there really wasn't anything about openbadge's features or interface that needed improvement. If you're looking into awarding your employees recognition through an electronic system then definitely check out openbadgeme - their customer care team has been incredibly responsive (and patient) during our evaluation process. We were able to use them as part of our internal employee reward program which allowed us to provide small monetary awards along with other nonmonetary benefits such as gift cards/certificates etc.
