Review on ๐ŸŒ™ Pro-Tec Athletics Night Time Splint by Bryan Gallardo

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fits me well: orthoses, splints and bandages

I've had terrible plantar fasciitis for about 8 months. After about six weeks of wearing a night splint (both at night and when sitting for long periods of time during the day), my foot finally feels normal again. However, when I first tried the pro-tec splint on, I almost sent it back because it bent my toes back too much. I read the instructions and found that you can remove the cap and take out the foam wedge that was causing the toe problem (which I did). I then used a foam wedge over the boot (just tucked under my toes) so I could adjust the stretch based on how my feet and toes were feeling at the time (the foam wedge even stayed ok overnight). I wore the splint for another 2 weeks after the pain went away and it still hasn't come back. I have to say it took me a couple of nights to get used to and I had to experiment to find comfortable positions (I slept with a stuffed animal under my knee when sleeping on my side). However, compared to the foot pain associated with plantar fasciitis, this was a minor inconvenience.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
