Review on 🌡️ Beck Arnley 143-0654 Thermostat: Optimal Temperature Control for Efficient Engine Performance by Kevin Williams

When my Denso plastic radiator cap cracked at 165,000 miles I decided to replace hoses, clamps, Thermostat and more to replace Denso radiators, all here at Revain. The previous original thermostat worked perfectly. Just thought it was time to replace it along with other parts for future safety. When I assembled all the parts for the first time, it was November, it was quite cold outside, but the car warmed up normally, the stove worked. also good. When I drove it next time, the car and heater did not get warm even after running for more than 10 minutes, sometimes it hardly got hot in the cold. I was so scared I had to drive to work with a piece of corrugated cardboard in front of the radiator or it would be too cold for highway speeds. I reluctantly removed it for investigation because it was definitely stuck open for several rides. To my dismay it came out looking normal, properly in the closed position at room temperature. I then replaced it with a standard thermostat and this old one worked great! It heats up quickly and then opens and holds the correct temperature just below the center of the dash dial. The heat blows like an oven in 5 minutes when it's 30F outside it's December. My guess is that the tiny vent, set correctly at 12 noon, was preventing the mechanism from closing, or that Beck Arnley simply failed and opened quickly at maybe 100F. Shame as it looks like a good quality T-Stat with new neoprene padding. AMAZON was great with an immediate refund on my credit card provided I send it back promptly. As soon as they got it back they emailed me to say they refunded my return postage. I couldn't ask for a better return service. In the meantime, if you're buying a T-Stat for an older Camry, I'd suggest thicker designs similar to the OEM parts sold here. I'll probably leave my old one in place until . another cooler change!
