Review on Razer Sphex Hard Gaming Mouse by Joe Kokenge

poor design, with vanity compared to functionality

The Razer Sphex V2 Mini is a flexible, non-rigid piece of thin plastic with an adhesive backing to attach it to a surface. This product is completely useless for anything I intended to use it for. Because it's flexible and very thin, it doesn't have the smooth surface of a regular hard mouse pad. A piece of paper on my desk gives similar results. It's also terrible as a travel mouse pad (that's what I bought it for) because since it's a flexible mouse pad, it can easily become permanently deformed while traveling. bag or just against other objects. The adhesive backing also picks up dust/dirt/fibers etc like crazy and this makes the backing worse than useless (as the pad just slides across the surface) until cleaned. . It is attached either by sewing it into a slot cut into the mouse pad or by gluing on both sides. Due to the thickness of the fabric, the pad will not lay flat next to the tag and a flat surface should be the focus of this product. While the strip of fabric can be cut and then (carefully) peeled off, the adhesive used leaves a significant amount of adhesive on the back of the mouse pad that I was unable to remove. Talk about vanity, about functionality, and the utter short-sightedness of consumer needs. The only solution is to cut off that part of the mouse pad, but at this point I decided to take the easier route and just toss this thing in the trash where it belongs.
