Fits my 2012 Mini Cooper Countryman S

I installed it on my 2012 Mini Cooper Countryman S. The machine gave the code for the coolant temperature sensor. I put this in, erased the code from the car with a simple code reader and it was great. I originally bought the sensor from the dealer. They used the VIN to tell me which sensor I needed. The seller made a mistake, but through no fault of his own. Some of these cars were modified during production and had a different sensor installed. Our VIN required a sensor with an angled connector that detached from the metal base, but it doesn't work. The straight plug I bought here works. I hope this helps if you're in the same predicament I am. The only thing I had to do with this part on this list is the ribs on the side that hold the part in place where it's a bit large. I filed the plastic slightly on the tongues and this part fell in. I've just driven 700 miles with a part on this list and no problems. Just a note that has NOTHING to do with this part. There are other stubs you need to remove to get to this part. If you don't fully connect them, the computer will generate a new code "Crankcase Breather Circuit Open". Make sure you pack all your little stubs VERY well and that will fix this code. The photos show the corner sensor from the dealer and I took the direct sensor from my car. The dealer said this part is in the thermostat housing, but that's not true either. This sensor is located in a metal knee next to the thermostat housing. I also included this picture. The mid-year makeover of these cars made that journey harder than it should be. Too bad for Mini Cooper that they haven't updated their system to show the actual parts these cars need.
