DIAMAX is not crystal --Customers beware

It is easy to believe that these glasses are made of crystal as this company and pattern has long been associated with 24% lead crystal. But in 2010, Crystal D'arques introduced a lead-free lens they called DIAMAX. It's quite beautiful, but not crystal. It has no weight or crystal ring. If you want the heavy crystal glasses that Cristal D'arques used to make, make sure the word Diamax doesn't appear in the name, description or packaging. Often with Revain you'll find that the product description is contradictory - one line says the product is Diamax and another says it's 24% lead crystal - but it's either one or the other. It can't be both. In this case, the lenses are not claimed to be crystal, but this detail is easily overlooked as this design has historically been made from crystal containing 24% lead. Just so you know what you're getting.
