I received this hoping it would be the PS4 version to match the PS3 version. You have to press the PS button to reactivate it every time you want to use it as it expires after a short time (to save battery) which was NOT necessary for the PS3 version. So I don't know why this new version requires it. I'd rather just use more batteries (rechargeable ones can be used) and the PS3 doesn't drain the batteries that quickly anyway. It lacks the buttons that other Blu-ray remotes would have, and the placement of the PlayStation-shaped buttons is less convenient than the PS3 version. (I use the O button all the time with YouTube and Netflix.) It's so inconvenient that I just use the controller most of the time. The only plus point is that you can use it to control the volume of the TV. It can also turn the TV on and off, but you can set the PS4 to turn on the TV at the same time as the PS4.
