Good quality, very heavy. Ceiling mount modification required

I bought these speakers as an upgrade to my previous HTIAB speakers and they are a huge improvement in quality and size. The documentation claims these speakers weigh 13 pounds and I can confirm that this is the weight of each speaker, not a pair. I wanted to use the same attachment points or proximity as the ceiling, so I was somewhat limited in what I could do. I wanted to use a ball mount for the speaker but couldn't find one that was compatible with a keyhole mount of this weight (the only mount these speakers have). I chose the Omni Mount ceiling mount, which can hold up to 15lbs each. These brackets are equipped with a panel mount function. I had to remove this plastic power connector thing that was screwed to the back of these speakers and drill a plate right into the back of these speakers. This was good as there is nothing but MDF on the back of the speaker enclosure and the depth of the speaker has also been reduced (the plastic part sticks out about half an inch). Also, I can now mount speakers at any angle on the ceiling. The flimsy keyhole mount is really meant to be hung on the wall, not the ceiling, and attaching it to the ceiling with a keyhole will limit you to a certain angle. I've only used them one day, but performance wise they are much clearer with vocals (when used as fronts in the 7.2 setting).
