When recording with 2 mics, I want each mic to be recorded on a separate channel: One to the LEFT channel, the second to the RIGHT channel. This adapter will combine BOTH mic signals recorded to BOTH channels (effectively: a MONO recording).After futzing around for an hour with a variety of cell phones and a Tascam DR-07x recorder I contacted support@powerdewise.com and received a helpful, detailed response in less than 24-hrs (on a Saturday!).This headphone splitter (it's really made to enable two people to listen to the same program with separate headphones) is very well-made. And tech support is top-notch. But the description, if not misleading, is a bit incomplete.
