Despite the description, Canbus still randomly blinks the lights. A minor (1 or 2mm) modification of the standard H7 case is also required. Depending on the flashing you can use a 25w pull up resistor along with a switching relay, the trip circuit (87a) goes to the resistor, the enable circuit (87) goes to the LED and the excitation (86) and source (30) from the headlight positive together with the lamp to ground (85). When the light is off the canbus test is weak enough not to energize the relay and sees the load through a resistor with one side connected to 87a and the other to ground. When the headlights are on, power is supplied to the bulb. I found this to be an elegant and inexpensive solution to fix the flicker and it doesn't require any additional wiring to the headlight housing. I can't comment on the lifespan of the bulbs, but if they're allowed to cool down, they stay bright and beautiful.
