Review on πŸ‘Ÿ Mizuno Men's Wave Prophecy 8: Supreme Performance Running Shoe for Men by Eric Mueller

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good cushioning but needs to be adjusted for comfort

This is my fourth pair of Wave Prophecy shoes. I started with the original or the "1" series I think. You were wonderful. Replaced them with "3". They had trouble with the last loop where the toes meet the foot. I had to cut the material off the shoes to avoid cutting the skin. (Wrote a Revain review on it.) Went back to Wave Creation, they were ok but I didn't have a feel for the Prophecy model so tried again with a '7'. They were perfect again, like "1". No problem. I wore them out and switched to these. Now I have found that the right shoe cuts into my foot, the left shoe is fine. The first strip, running from the last eyelet to the side of the foot, is taut and looks like a wire that is pulled taut over the foot just above the pinky toe. I thought it might be the laces but I loosened them as much as I could but this problem persists. I love the feel of these shoes when running, but Mizuno is constantly making changes that make my feet feel really uncomfortable. I'll try to change them like I did with '3' but after paying for these shoes I don't feel like I need to make any changes to make them work. Having two other pairs that have each run 500+ miles with no issues, I know they can make a shoe that fits my feet perfectly. I understand the need for innovation, but sometimes it seems that a change spoils the product for me.
