So. They're obviously made overseas somewhere, but they work well if you're willing to take the extra steps for installation. I currently have a 96 bottle setup and it is very stable because I inserted a 1" x 4" pine board between the bottom legs. The wood these shelves are made of is very hard, so you'll need to pre-drill holes and then screw the board down with two wood screws on each end. This will ensure that the lower level legs never collapse. Then, when you start assembling the frame, use good quality wood glue on EVERY joint. When the glue dries you will find that the counter has turned into a STONE. As a final security mechanism, I installed the straps about 3/4 of the way up the post and attached them to the wall behind the post. This is an extra step that gave me a better feeling because the rack will never fall off. These additional steps were very easy and could be done by anyone. The stand looks great and I am very happy with my purchase. In fact, I might add it in the future because I'm buying more and more wine and the shelf is currently 100% full.
