I followed the youtube videos and built a set of 2x2 speakers using these drivers. I had a small amp that I used for my PC sound system. At the same time, the sound was bright, but seemed weak in the bass. I had a passive subwoofer so I added that but the bass was still weak. I decided to swap out the amp as I didn't know what the power output was. It made a big difference, the sound became rich and crystal clear. I used an old receiver as an amplifier, set at a fairly low volume. It turned out that the small amplifier simply did not have a noteworthy low-frequency output. I am very happy with these speakers and would recommend them to anyone interested in pairing. However, make sure your amp is up to the task.
