It was very difficult to rate this lamp. According to the instructions, the installation takes 10-20 minutes. Drill 2 starting holes for the screws. Screw the screws into the holes. We put the lamp on the screws. Connect it. Easy. EXCEPT: They supply screws and anchors for wall mounting. I needed it under a kitchen cabinet and the screws were too long. Luckily I have a collection of screws. And my 73-year-old eyes couldn't focus on removing the bottom of the kitchen cabinet. I ended up having to cut a 16 5/8" long piece of scrap, the distance between the screws, and use it to mark where the screws should be. Putting the lamp on the screws was tricky as I couldn't see where the Screws and matching holes in the bracket were because the bracket hides the screws. And of course it was under the cabinet. So it took about an hour to install as I really had to figure out how to do it. If I had to install a second one ( I don't), it would probably take less than half an hour. It's a good thing it's very bright, which is what I wanted. The light shines straight down so it's not too strong over the 24" length of the Luminaire shines out. , but it goes sideways and nicely illuminates the width of the counter below. It's slightly thicker than the front bottom hem of the cabinet, so if you're under 5 feet tall there may be some glare to your eyes we earth. Overall I like the device, I recommend it and while it may be hype they state it has an expected lifespan of 44 years.
