I love coffee and wanted a MoccaMaster but couldn't justify the $300 price tag. Gevi is a legal clone. It works the same way. There are no moving parts. The water is heated, rises and drips onto the coffee with the shower head. There is no pump. The strength of the coffee is adjustable and the delivery can be temporarily stopped if you don't want to wait for the first cup. The glass carafe is easy to use and clean. I use it to fill a container and it pours well. There is a heated plate to keep the coffee warm. It comes with a gold reusable filter. But I prefer the paper filter, and the #4 filter is perfect. Maybe it doesn't have that build quality and I haven't checked the internals. But it works well and looks great. I've been using it every day for a month and no problems. From the Keurig system, Gevi coffee is noticeably better. Really great. At the current price of $100, there is nothing to complain about.
