Last year I tried to get rid of plastic Tupperware storage containers and for the most part I was successful. I chose glass and metal and I really liked it. The only thing I couldn't find was a warehouse where things would be kept separate but together. I bought the previous plastic lid from Amazon which had a lid that was divided into 4 parts separating 4 compartments. It was nice to look at and the food was kept separately. The downside to this was that it had a very hard and brittle lid that had to be opened at each end, you couldn't just lift it off the corner like normal cookware or it would snap and render the expensive piece useless. I decided that I would take a chance and take this thing. The individual compartments are not sealed against intermixing, but the container itself is sealed. The lid is also very easy to remove. They've become my staple and I use them every day when I eat store-bought salad mixes. I can use the compartments to separate seeds, dressings, crackers, etc. I love these things, they have made my life easier and I would definitely recommend them.
