Review on πŸ’ͺ Enhance Stability and Flexibility with Leofoto DC-282C CF Tripod Extension Tube: Carbon Fibre Fiber 2 Section Center Column Extender by Daniel Ton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very nice, strong, small, light, 3/8 both ends

There were no reviews when I ordered this extension. I have Leofoto gear and it's very good quality so I haven't had any problems. Larger tubes than sunwayfoto extensions. These appear to be the exact same dials on full size Leofoto tripods (one of their systematic types seems to come with the same extension) 3/8-16 both top and bottom. Ideal for when you want to upgrade a 3/8 screw tripod to a 3/8 male head without fiddling with adapters. If your tripod is 1/4, you will need a 1/4 to 3/8 sleeve. If your head is 1/4 then this extension will not work without an adapter and I would suggest not worrying as they are all dead ends. BTW (and in my opinion) the best socket is 1/4 to 3/8 from Wimberley. Good length, brass, has a slot so you can take it off but it's open at the other end so there's no 'dead end', no collar for a flush fit. Unfortunately, I don't see them here at Revain. Try B&H.Perfect with the Leofoto LS-223C-LH25 Mini Tripod Kit as it fits between the tripod and the head (both 3/8 sizes). You end up with a very light and small (albeit low) travel tripod. I'm 6ft 1in with a long torso. If I'm sitting on a gardener's rug, the full extension combination places the camera too high for me. Works great with my platypod (which also has a 3/8 pin. I'm still testing with long exposures but plan to. I'll update this review when I do.
