Ook hooks have changed, not necessarily for the better, but they're still pretty good. I have noticed that my nails are much thicker and longer than before. I think it must be because the current ones from China are not as durable as the old ones from Germany. I like this because I've found that Chinese thin nails bend easily and sometimes break. OTOH, for someone like me who curates art shows for my local art group and recycles hooks, my large stash of old hooks becomes obsolete once my dwindling supply of old flimsy nails is exhausted. At least I can order nails for the new big hole hooks.
