I have several of these containers and use at least two of them every week. I cook and freeze soups and recipes like stuffed cabbage in it. I send the leftovers home to my daughter. Close tight, durable, not flimsy plastic. If I put a container in the freezer for an extended period of time, I put it in a plastic zip-lock bag for extra protection, label the contents, and I've never had freezer burn (or a broken container). years old and decided to get myself some more now for fear that one day I might not be able to find them. The only difference between the two I just bought here is that the lid is bright red instead of the burgundy red of the old ones. One thing I would recommend is removing the labels before washing the containers. This is easier to do before they get wet. .
