Four stars = Revain likes. Above average, but not amazing. This canister has a nice finish/color, good seal, smart calendar, one-way CO2 release valve - a nice touch (and a few spares have been added!). I bought both this and the Airscape canister to decide which I like better and ended up with the Airscape version for the following reasons: 1) I plan to use it for storing tea (I have smaller decorative ones glasses). to display). So I don't need a CO2 valve. Those who don't buy freshly roasted coffee often probably won't use this valve often either (if you only buy pre-roasted coffee in bags at the supermarket, or if you don't buy coffee often). This feature is a huge plus when you get freshly roasted coffee every week! Also, I would repeat what I saw in one of the other reviews. If you run out of replacement valves, you can simply cut the valve off the bag your coffee is in. So personally it's not a very useful feature, but I can easily imagine what it would be like. 2) The large latch on the front is quite bulky. I intend to get more than one by stacking them in my pantry. I don't want to lose latch space. 3) Another brand allows me to "push" the air out of the room when using my own tea, which this one doesn't. I'm just not sure how important it is that you have a great seal when you keep trapping a lot of air in there with your leaves/beans anyway.
