Update my review: Size still perfect for travel. However, for some reason it stopped generating intense heat and didn't frizz or straighten my hair at all. send back. I've only tried it once so far and it wasn't very good. I bought it mainly for travel. It's small and compact, and I love the dual function of curling iron and straightening iron that works at the touch of a button, literally. It generates a lot of heat which is perfect for my thick, coarse hair. Perhaps I would caution those with fine, damaged hair as it can sting. I don't know, I've never had problems like this with my hair so I can't speak about it personally! I think it is no different from other curling irons. I have very long hair and lots of it, so due to the length of the barrel it tends to create tighter curls than beachy waves. It suits me, I'm sure I can play around with it to get the result I want. But the compact size is ideal as I only carry a 30L backpack on all trips. It would be nice if the curling iron had at least a high and medium temperature, but I have no complaints about what I use it for.
