Working with MBA 2013/1TB 970 EVO/Mojave 10.14.1

. First, let me say that I originally used the smaller Sintech adapter and was never able to solve the sleep/wake/crash issue. As a last resort after spending too much time reading the forums I bought this. Here's what I did. 1.) My drive was already formatted to APFS and MBA was upgraded to Mojave 10.14.2) I created a bootable Mojave 10.14.1.3 installation USB stick) I swapped the adapters and did an SMC reset with the unplugged Battery cable routed. (while I was there) 4.) Downloaded Disk Utility, deleted existing APFS partition/formatted and created new 1TB APFS/GUID5 partition.) Installed Mojave6.) Tested. (works so far) 7.) Downloaded only the Apple app and updates, tested (still works) 8.) Downloaded the rest of the apps and peripherals (e.g. bluetooth devices). (Still working 2 days later) I have no problem waking up or draining my battery. It works just as well as my OEM drive (just a lot better). I'm not a techie, self-taught. If you have any questions about this, read a lot and watch a lot of YouTube videos BEFORE YOU BEGIN. DO NOT throw away your old OEM drive, if it still works you might need it. Be prepared that it might not work for you. It seems that success has varied depending on the MacBook model, NVME drive and operating system. Almost black art. To make it even more difficult, some people had problems with a bad adapter and a new adapter (same model) solved their problems. If you have some time, don't bother with troubleshooting and open your laptop. Give it a try, it's pretty easy and a lot cheaper than buying a 2018 MBP with 1TB flash.
