Looks good and works well.

I have previously purchased several other versions of this watch, in black with green lettering so there will be some comparisons to them. The range of functions corresponds roughly to the other version. My favorite feature is that the dimmer has a very dimmable mode. A lot of clocks are too bright for my liking, but these are enough for you to peek and read in the dark, but not bright enough to get in the way (see my photos for an example of dimming mode). They are a bit brighter than the other version of this watch which uses red numbered LEDs. The control labels in this version are easier to read than the other version as they are off-white on black rather than medium green on black. The snooze button lasts an odd 9 minutes, which isn't a problem for me, just not the expected time. Most functions are intuitive, with the exception of setting radio presets and changing the alarm buzzer or channel. These functions are shared with other keys but are not labeled. You may need to keep the manual in case you need to change it later. (I found a PDF version of the manual online) Be sure to put a couple of AAA batteries in the bottom part, otherwise even a brief power outage will waste time and presets. The volume is a freely rotating analog dial in the back corner, but it's in a spot where it can't be accidentally changed. The wireless charger works great with my iPhone 11 and I use the 2 amp USB output on the back to charge another phone. At 2 amps it should charge most tablets. I connected it with my triple plug cable so I can charge any device I need. The biggest difference from the other model is the exterior, which features a wood grain finish. The speaker on the back doesn't have a grille like my other one. The sound quality is about the same, so I think it's the look of the copper-colored speaker dome. It looks good but it's on the back so it might not be visible in many places. The fit and finish on my example wasn't perfect, with a dent on the top edge where the panel meets the rubber, and one of the screws on the speaker wasn't complete. I used a small torx bit for tightening. The rubber mat for the wireless charging pad wasn't centered as well as on my others. This rubber mat can also be a bit of a dust magnet, but a plastic protector can help.

Cons
  • Non automatic
